GENTLE GIANT

A Silverback Mountain Gorilla resting temporally after a morning feed of leafs and bark.
This male is close to 200kgs and the protector of his family group of around a dozen.
So human like and so rare, this is one of natures most humbling experiences. It’s also a positive conservation story with numbers increasing from around 200 individuals to 1000 at last count due largely to funds from Eco-tourism.
