You will be taken by boat from Impalila Island to the river disembarkation point in Kasane and transferred to Kasane Airport. You will then be assisted on to a light aircraft flying into the Savuti region.
Your camp guide will meet you at the airstrip and drive you to your Savute Mobile Camping Site to spend the next 3 nights on a fully inclusive basis.
After settling in to your accommodation you will go on an afternoon game drive.
Private Campsite – Luxury Mobile Tent
This camp comprises 5 large walk in tents each with their own private en-suite toilet and shower facilities. There are real beds with linen, blankets and pillows and plenty of room for luggage and camera gear. In front of the tent is a shaded “stoop” with a wash basin and a couple of chairs. This is not your average camping experience but rather a comfortable rustic tented lodge deep in the African bush.
Situated about mid-way between the Chobe River and the Okavango Delta, Savuti is a harsh, arid landscape. The Savuti Channel which had started to flow about ten years ago after 30 years of being dry, has dried up early in 2015. The Savute marsh still has waterholes in many places and is now the focal point of the area for wildlife viewing.
For these two days you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in open sided 4x4 safari vehicles, with a visit to the San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills an option for you to select on one of the days.
