DETAILS

Starting our tour in Darwin, we’ll travel to our accommodation near the Mary River wetlands where you’ll step into a safari tent and enjoy the subtle sounds of nature outside your base for the coming days.

We’ll travel to the world famous Mary River wetlands for dusk and dawn photo safaris on a purpose-built safari boat with unrestricted views for each photographer.

In addition to the boat cruise, we’ll take a thrilling ride on an airboat, gliding across the wetlands in a unique experience, you’ll never forget.

We’ll travel from our base near Mary River into World Heritage Kakadu National Park to photograph the amazing landscapes, ancient rock art and creatures that call this area home. Our trip will be timed to make the most of the golden hour before returning to base in the evening.

The wildlife we will encounter will include the highest density of saltwater crocodiles in Australia, giant stalks (including jabirus and brolgas, rainbow bee-eaters, sea eagles) and countless other species of birdlife as well as various species of kangaroos, lizards and frogs. The landscapes are unique to the Top End of Australia include floodplains, water lilies, ancient trees and misty sunrises over the billabong.

During the downtime, we’ll share and learn in fun informal workshops lead by Alistair covering topics such as wildlife and landscape photography and Lightroom techniques.

Join us on this magical photo safari into one of the world’s most iconic and spiritual destinations.
